On the heels (no pun intended) of the Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon shoe reveal we now have a new Disney-themed shoe brought to you by Brooks: the Stitch-themed Glycerin 22. The shoes feature a few more specific design elements than on the villain-themed shoes, as they have a Stitch head, some bite-marks out of the Brooks logo, and a Hawaiian motif insole complete with a "626" logo.
It seems like Stitch has steadily grown in popularity since the original movie released in 2002, and the recent live action movie has pushed it along to the new generation. My kids love Stitch and went through a big phase of watching every movie and series in anticipation of the live action movie, which did not disappoint. I also love the Brooks Glycerin series, as I've run in every iteration since the 18. The Glycerin is far from the fastest shoe, but it's super comfortable and perfect for easy runs. The Glycerin 22 uses the same midsole foam as the Glycerin Max, which has made it the softest version underfoot yet. I'm not one for buying shoes at full price (I'm Team Value, sniping deals on previous versions of shoes, buying at tent sales on lightly-worn shoe returns, or grabbing values via run store memberships or outlets such as Going Going Gone), but these have me interested if they make it online.
As for design theming for the Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, a Stitch theme is a little odd. Stitch is nowhere to be found amongst the weekend themes, and there is a lot of online grumbling about not having a specific Wine & Dine theme. These complaints are all valid, as Brooks could have also latched on to any other Disney food theme instead of Stitch. A Brooks shoe with churros, Mickey Waffles, or Dole Whip would sell out in minutes! It feels more like Brooks wanted to put Stitch on the Glycerin before the new Glycerin 23 drops in early 2026, but they couldn't make it work for the Marathon Weekend or Princess Half Marathon Weekend. "Stitch taking a couple bites out of the Brooks logo" doesn't exactly scream Wine & Dine, so I understand the disappointment in some people looking for a more weekend-themed shoe.
Still, the Stitch design is nice and simple, and I'm sure Stitch enthusiasts or runDisney Glycerin-wearers will still buy it as soon as possible. Wine & Dine will likely mark the final release of the Mickey and Minnie Ghost Max 2s as well as the runDisney Adrenaline 23s, as new versions of each Brooks model have recently come out and I'm sure Brooks is looking at new designs for the WDW Marathon Weekend in January.
UPDATE: New Wine & Dine-themed shoes added!

Brooks has dropped another new runDisney shoe right before the Expo themed to Wine & Dine Weekend. Adding another new model to the mix, Brooks released a Ghost Max 3 shoe with a gray upper, burgundy/wine-colored midsole foam, and blue and yellow outsole. On the heel is a silver Spaceship Earth, and the laces and inner heel padding have the same Mickey Ear designs as other runDisney shoes. While these are more closely themed to the race weekend, they're still relatively tame compared with the earlier runDisney models from last spring's Springtime Surprise release. At least we're getting updated models?
