We’re approximately 14 weeks away from the 2026 Princess Half Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World, and we finally have a look at the four medals that will be handed out to runners. I always like the Marathon Weekend medals the most (who doesn’t like getting six medals featuring the Fab Five plus Chip & Dale?), but the Princess Weekend medals typically feature some of the best designs. When the 2026 Princess themes dropped back in March, it was clear runDisney wanted to highlight Disney princesses that left the relative comfort of their lives in search of adventure (or in Belle’s case, to rescue her father – although she also seemed to always be looking for something more than her provincial town). Now that we finally have a first look at the medals, it’s clear runDisney wanted to put a spin on the same old medals with some aesthetically-gorgeous stained-glass medals. While I am a little concerned about durability given Challenge runners will usually stack their clacking medals for pictures or around the parks, there’s no doubt that these are some of the nicer medals runDisney has put out. Let’s take a closer look at each.

5k – Merida from Brave

The striking contrast of Merida’s signature feature – her bold red hair – with the earthy green bear paw background is perfectly executed. Along with the stained-glass effect, it also appears the stone formation from the film is including on each fingerprint. There are even some elements of Merida’s arrow in the “5k” as well as on the ribbon. I was most looking forward to the 5k medal as my family (minus the youngest who is a few more years away from eligibility) is running this one together, and I think runDisney nailed it.

10k – Moana from Moana

Another solid medal, Moana is running against contrasting blues in the shape of her boat and the stingray representing her grandmother. I love the different blue colors and details on both elements, and the “bubbles” are a great touch. We even have an oar slipped into the “10k”. This one definitely captures Moana’s adventurous spirit drawn to the ocean.

Half Marathon -Rapunzel from Tangled

The swirling yellow hair against the shimmering purple flower looks great on this design. The stained-glass effect is put to good use in mirroring the flowing magic of the flower in the film. Admittedly the lantern placement on Rapunzel’s hip is a little odd (it looks like a big pocket or a purse), but having the lantern on the ribbon is a good choice as it looks like it’s floating above the runner.

Challenge – Belle from Beauty and the Beast

This one takes the cake (no offense to the 2026 Wine & Dine Challenge medal)! The stained-glass design was hinted at in the initial theme reveal, and it was executed beautifully on this medal. There’s nice symmetry with the Beast’s head and horns, and the intricate designs into the pink rose is amazing. From a pure visual standpoint, I think this is one of the best-looking medals runDisney has put out.
