2027 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend Theme Teased

While it seems we only just finished the 2026 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, registration for the 2027 WDW Marathon Weekend is right around the corner. In anticipation for registration, we have our first look at next year's theme and it should make Donald Duck fans very happy. On runDisney's Facebook and Instagram pages a teaser trailer reveals Donald colors, feathers, and ominous shadow. WIth next year's Half Marathon being an anniversary year (doesn't it seem like almost every year is a milestone anniversary?), it looks like Donald Duck will feature heavily in the overall theme. Whether we get Donald interacting with the other traditional characters (Pluto for the 5k, Chip & Dale for the 10k, and Mickey & Minnie for the Marathon) or some other thematic element, we will need to wait another couple weeks to see how it all shakes out.

In bucking tradition, look for the Half Marathon to sell out first this year!
